Eye of Angel:

Written By:

A break of clouds through broken Heaven—

It seems you’ve lost an Angel.

Her wings of glory, tightly woven

Sewn with the softest of fine wool.

She glides the sky without a care,

Her smile shining brightly.

The sun sets fire to her brilliant hair,

Which seems to glimmer lightly.

She floats to the ground, her appearance unearthly

As her feet touch the summer green pastures.

The wisdom in her eyes feels otherworldly—

Yet heart and soul, she captures.

She moves so free, without roof or door,

As she basks beneath the sun.

Her beauty is striking—one can’t ignore—

And with her, a new life has begun.

Aloof and free, she sings and dances

With a splendor that makes you cry.

She is the beauty of sunset romances,

And the sorrow of goodbye.

The other Angels laugh at their sister—

Their white wings glisten, trumpets cry.

“Come back home,” she hears them whisper.

So she spreads her wings to fly.

A single tear, as warm as rain—

It's hard to watch her leave.

She takes with her the world's old pain

And all days filled with grief.

The lucky man who saw her glory

Now has hope inside his heart.

She left behind a joyful story

For a world that fell apart.

Through a break of clouds from Heaven,

An Angel once had vanished.

She met a world once filled with question,

And left it now enravished.
